”About Me” I am Mateus, an architect and urban designer from Brazil based in Barcelona. I have a master in Parametric Design in Architecture from the UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia) and currently work for the studio External Reference. With international working experience I consider myself an adaptable designer, who during the development process, takes under consideration the local context and understands architecture from a transversal and sustainable point of view.

My specialists are: computation design, digital fabrication techniques (3D printing and laser cutting), 3D modelling, concept design, collaborative research and artistic projects. I believe in interdisciplinary teaching methods with practice-based processes and a horizontal communication approach. I structure the course accordingly to the student’s knowledge and interests with a focus on the creative process and a problem-solving attitude.
